Although, Avery had a very short career of less than one year, he successfully overtook India’s greatest trade ship at the time. The ship roughly contained £450,000, and 500,000 gold and silver pieces. In those times, for an honest sailor to earn £1000 it would take 80 years. The last known record of Avery is that he disembarked in Ireland, where he disappeared forever.
