Fun Information: This Helmet belongs to the Sengoku daimyo Takeda Shingen; Takeda Shingen, December 1, 1521- May 13, 1573, was believed to be the only daimyo with enough skill and intellect to stop Oda Nobunaga’s conquest of unifying Japan. He had overpowered Nobunaga and Tokugawa Ieyasu with crucial victories but was hinder by outside influences. Before he could commence a further attack, he died in his camp from unknown causes. His death still remains a mystery.
