Fun Information: John Rackham, better known as Calico Jack, was an English pirate captain during the early 18th century. Rackham is known best for two things: the Jolly Roger, or flag, which depicts a skull and 2 cutlasses, and having two female crew members, Anne Bonny and Mary Read, in his service. Rackham was the only pirate captain during the Golden Age of Piracy to have female pirates aboard the ship. He was captured and hung on November 1720.
